A cluster bus full of passengers got stuck during waterlogging in Mundka underpass on Friday. After the bus got stuck in water filled up to the windows, there was panic among the 50 passengers aboard. The police officer says that no information was given to the police about the incident. The passengers somehow saved their lives by getting out of the bus through the windows and doors. Meanwhile, someone made a video of it and made it viral on social media.
It is seen in the video that after the rain on Friday, there is waterlogging under the railway underbridge going from Mundka to Ranikheda. There is a lot of waterlogging here after rain earlier also. On Friday afternoon, a cluster bus was carrying passengers. The bus driver tried to take the bus out of the underpass amidst the waterlogging. But the bus got stuck in the middle of the three feet water accumulated there. The bus stopped there. Along with this, water also entered inside the bus. As soon as the water entered, there was chaos among the passengers present in the bus.
People started trying to get out, but the door was not opening because the engine was off. People tried to open the door, but the door did not open. After this, the passengers started coming out through the window. People came out in waist-deep water and somehow reached a safe place from there. It is being told that no one was injured in the incident. It is seen in the viral video that the driver was not ready to take the bus from there due to the waterlogging, but due to the insistence of the passengers in the bus, he took the bus into the waterlogged area.
Road blocked in protest against waterlogging
People protested by blocking the main Kanjhawala road against waterlogging in Rohini Sector-22. After the road was blocked, the police also reached the spot. People cleared the road after being convinced by the police officers. In this protest that lasted for about four hours, the local people have demanded that the problem of waterlogging in Rohini Sector-22 be resolved soon. People have also demanded to stop the water coming from Kiradi from entering the sector.
